In 1997, the Hansen Award was established to recognize the outstanding management employee for his/her above and beyond contributions to the success of Travel and Transport.  The award is named after our second president, Mal Hansen, who was president of Travel and Transport from 1972 to 1986. To be eligible for this award, the recipient must have been nominated for the company's Above and Beyond Award and have been selected for the cmpany's President’s Club.

We are pleased to announce that the 2008 winner of this award is Jami Hedrick, Director client service. Jami was hired as a travel counselor in 1994 and has steadily worked her way up the corporate ladder during her 15-year tenure.

In 2008, Jami provided client services in many different ways for a number of our key accounts. Following a special training program Jami developed and presented to a large number of client employees. The travel manager wrote, “This was really eye opening information for all of us. This was one of the best presentations we have ever had and I really enjoyed it.”

In the Above and Beyond write-up Jami's General Manager wrote, “I asked Jami to present a training module on A Day in the Life of a CSM. The training was outstanding and more than I had expected. After the training I sat back and thought…WOW.”
