ACTE Conference Update by Nancy Rissky, Vice President – Client Services, Travel and Transport

Sunday, April 5^th

We are at the ACTE Global Educational Conference and what an exciting conference. This is my first experience attending this conference and so far it’s been very educational.

Doug Weeks, President of ACTE and Director of Global Travel for Booz & Co. presented “the focus of this conference is not going to be on the old R word meaning Recession but instead focusing on new R word which is Recovery.”

During the sessions the buzz is definitely social networking. Twitter, Facebook, Linked In and YouTube is the craze and something everyone should be looking into. Watch for Travel and Transport showing up on these social networking applications soon!

The keynote speaker for Sunday was Juan Enriquez, Founding Director, Harvard Business School’s Life Science Project. I can’t even begin to give his speech justice in writing! All I can say is that it was Wicked Smart!
